I found it through Deborah's blog Cards and Things.
Their challenge is Easter, so here is my card.
thanks for looking!

Stamp Something Challenge

Stamp Something has a great sketch this week and they have really nice prizes!
http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/2009/03/sketch-something-challenge.html
Here is my card for a friend of mine that had a baby on St. Patricks Day.
I don't know where I got the shamrock paper, the striped paper is Bohemian by My Mind's Eye and the paper with the crosses is Amazing Grace by Flair Designs. I cuttlebugged the brown square and used a tag I received from Jillibean Soup. For bling, I used some Hero Arts Gems, Stickles and Diamond Glaze on the Shamrocks. I made a matching envelope.

Thanks for taking a gander today.

Basic Grey #28

Basic Grey has a really fun sketch this week.
http://basicgreychallenges.blogspot.com/2009/03/challenge-28-follow-sketch.html
Here is my card. I made it for my sis-in-law's birthday coming up.
All the papers are from the Sugared collection, except for the paper I stamped the Penny Black elephant on (Neena). I used Copics to color the image. Made a envelope to match.
Thanks for stopping by!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge which is to use a tag on your card. http://onestopcraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/03/challenge-21-tag-it.html
It is for a young friend of mine who will be 16 soon. The patterned paper is Daisy in a Bucket (Finley). I've used Dew Drops from Taylored Expressions, the Fiber is by AIC and I got the tag from Jillibean. The sentiment is a clear stamp by Hero Arts. I made an evelope to match.

TFL. Have a great evening. My husband is going to take me to a movie!

Challenge Sketch from I{heart}2Stamp #14

Here is a card a made for the Iheart2stamp sketch this week. Jen made a great sketch.
http://iheart2stamp.com/2009/03/21/sketch-for-you-to-try-14/
This will be a birthday card for my sister-in-law next week. She is a cowgirl at heart. I had this boot pin for quite a while, so I'm glad to have found a use for it. Do you think it works on this card?
Patterned papers: Daisyd's Ric Rac Stripes and Karen Foster Design Stars (with my doodling. The silver metalilic paper base and punched hearts are made by Grafix (got it at Micheal's) I used black gemstones by Hero Arts (to match the rhinestones in the boot) and then some checkered ribbon. The sentiment is hand written and Stickled.

Basic Grey #27 Challenge: Texture

I love Basic Grey papers! I don't have enough of them. But I sure try to use them. Their challenge this week is to use texture on your card. http://basicgreychallenges.blogspot.com/2009/03/challenge-27-texture.html
So, here's my card. The texture I included is Stickles glitter, punched flowers, gems, and homemade paper ribbon. The paper is, of course, Basic Grey. It is from their Sugared line. The stamp is CTMH. I colored it with Copics. They are giving away some beautiful Prima flowers and ribbons. (I hope I win...Pick me, Pick me!)

xoxo,
Jennifer

Our Creative Corner Challenge and Crafty Creations #8

I've made an Easter card to go with the sketch on OCC and Crafty Creations (a bunny challenge) this week. Here's the links: http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2009/03/occ-sketch-challenge-givaway.html
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/2009/03/challenge-number-8-bunny.html

My stamp is CTMH. For PT's, I've used DCWV Sweet Stack. I doodled on the yellow cardstock (Bazzill Basics Mexicn Poppy). I punched out the butterflies and glittered them by using double sided tape. I colored the stamp with Copics. I've used stickles on the image because I love to do that!

Here's the pic. Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Creations, I {heart}2stamp sketch, Easter

I made an Easter card based on Jen's sketch here:
http://iheart2stamp.com/2009/03/14/sketch-for-you-to-try-13/
This is also my entry for Crafty Creations challenge this week. Here is their link:
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/2009/03/winner-of-challenge-6.html
They are also having a DT call! I have expressed my interest. Let's see what happens. I really enjoy their blog.

I used DCWV paper from Sweet Stack. I cut the ovals out myself to fit the stamped image that was part of what I won from a challenge on Crafty Creations. The stamp is a CTMH image. I colored it with Copic Sketchers. I used stickles to polish it off. thanks for looking!

Get well card, Bo Bunny Challenge

Hi. Here's a card I made for some friends in the hospital. I made it for the Bo Bunny challenge, but I was too late to enter it. Oh well, maybe next time. Here's the site: http://bobunny.blogspot.com/2009/03/join-us-in-card-sketch.html

I used Basic Grey papers (Sultry line) and the flowers are from Taylored Expressions: Spring Flowers. They are so pretty and fun to work with. (and reasonably priced!) I used a Nestie for the sentiment tag and printed the sentiment on my computer. The little flower stamp on the right side of the sentiment is stamped in Distressed Ink Mahagony. Then I made an envelope to match.
Thanks for looking.

Sympathy for a friend

My husband and I belong to a National Christian Motorcycle Club. There are chapters all over the country and the world. A member of the Las Vegas Chapter was here in Denver in January to attend a big Motorcycle show and swap meat. Sadly, he was killed while riding his motorcycle this past weekend. The colors of our club are yellow and black, so I made this card for his family. Please pray for his family if you get a chance. He has a wife and two young boys (age 16 and 21)

I'm a Rock Star!?

I recently shared my blog address with lots of friends and family members. This is what I said to them: "Hi everyone. Just thought I'd share my blog site with you. It's a card making blog. It's kind of dorky, but I have fun with it. Let me know what you think.
Love ya,
Jen"

I just have to share what my crazy sister-in-law, Cassie, in Austin, TX wrote back to me in response:

"Jen, This is what you should have said:"

"Hi everyone. Did you know that I'm a ROCK STAR.... I have a blog I want you to see. Guess what!! It's about me.... cuz I'm a ROCK STAR. I don't care if you think it's dorky, I have my own blog ~ and I bet you can't make one of these cards ~ WELL, CAN YA'???? I am talented to say the least. I am sooooo proud of myself... wait.... I've got to wipe the tears of joy from my eyes! You are all so lucky to have me in your lives. You know what!!!!!!!! I'M A ROCK STAR."
Signing off till the next time I yield ye with my presence :)
Jen

P.S. I can help you with this whole selling yourself to others Jen... don't be shy. YOU ARE A ROCK STAR IN MY EYES :) I LOVE YOU AND I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. Now put the damn cards down and go make dinner for my brother and nephew........

I'm being dorky...

Cass

Isn't she great?

I'm a dos-i-do, what are you?

You are easy going and naturally happy. You don't need a lot to make you smile.
You genuinely care about people and are a great friend. You're always doing your best to make the world a better place.

Even though there isn't an immature bone in your body, you still are like a big kid sometimes.
Why make life complicated when the best parts are actually quite simple? You enjoy the small joys of life.

I took this fun little quiz. There's several others you can play with.

This is so endearing. My children always enjoyed his books.

Card Positioning Systems 106

Hi. This is a birthday card for my daughter-in-law who is expecting our first grandchild! I really enjoyed this sketch. Here's the link:
http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2009/03/cps106-part-1.html
I punched out 4 different sizes of the daisy in mostly pink shades with some yellow and ivory, then stacked them together for two large flowers. I drew glue over the tips of the petals and applied Martha Stewart glitter. I used two-sided tape to glue the glitter onto the smaller flowers. For the medallion, I used Nesties, then stamped it with a Hero Arts sentiment, and cuttlebugged the inner circle. I hope she likes it!

http://iheart2stamp.com/2009/03/07/sketch-for-you-to-try-12/
I used a few different papers that looked boyish to make a baby congrats card for a friend of mine. Then I cuttlebugged the pieces and then cut and paste them on top of eachother. Used an organza ribbon on the side.

Thanks for looking.

I've missed making and posting cards lately. Life has a way of getting in the way, doesn't it? But I am thankful for all that God has allowed me to be a part of in this life. Anyway, here is my card for the PMSC. It's a card for my aunt whose husband (my uncle) died.
Here's the link: http://papermakeupstamps.blogspot.com/2009/02/sketch-challenge.html

The paper is Basic Grey Sugared
I used an Oval Nesty for the sentiment
The stamp is by Paper Inspirations
The ink is Distressed Ink Mahagony
The base card is Archivers Metalic Opal
And on the right hand side are Page Pebbles by Making Memories
Then there's some ribbon, pearls and silk leaves.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Weekend Sketch Challenge #70

Hi. I haven't been able to post for a while. I went to visit my sister who has MS. She has had it for 15 years and really struggles. When her husband goes out of town, I try to go help her out with her kids. Then when I got back, my son and I were sick for a week. Anyway, all better now and I have a card to share with you. It's for my Dad because his brother (my uncle) passed away. I didn't really know him very well, which may seem a bit strange. I have had 6 uncles in my life and only one of them, who lives is Fresno, has ever had much to do with me. He is very special to me.

Ingredients: flower is from a Heidi Grace kit, the stamp is by Paper Inspirations and I used a Cuttlebug border on the side piece. Then I added some gems and silver bling. this was a fun sketch from WSC!
