Bordered Masked Sentiment and Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge
My inspiration for this card is from the talented Nichole Heady
It's really a fun technique and I like the effect. I especially love the stamps that Nichole used from Paper Trey ink. Just might have to get me some! I am also entering my card to SSICC
I gave this to my neice for her birthday.
Vintage Birthday
Here are two birthday cards. I am entering them in a new challenge blog (for me) called Hotshot Craft Blog. One card is for my Mother-in-law and the other for my husband. I used the great idea on the Hero Arts watch it Wednesday last month for my inspiration. I don't have the dies for the flags, so I cut them out myself. The method used here is called emboss resist. I used Tim Holtz distress inks. I then copied and resized old old old postcards, used an oval Spellbinder die to cut it out and then pasted it on. Hope you like it.

Teacher Appreciation Day
I've created a little gift basket and card for each of my son's teachers. He is in a wonderful special needs classroom and I just love his teachers. They are miracle workers!

Valentines
Here are two cards I made for Valentines Day. The first one I made for my husband, based on this awesome tutorial by Beates. I basically copied her whole design, just used different papers. Thank you Beates! It was really fun to make. The hardest part was keeping the panels square! The second card I made for my daughter. I hand cut the hearts, used a hearts stamp with white ink on the transparency for the window. I used Spellbinder fleur de lis frame. Turned out really pretty. Hope you have a great day!

Apple Tree
This is a birthday card for my sister in NC. Her kitchen is decorated in Apples, thus the card theme. I used a cuttlebug folder for the clouds
, made the tree trunk and hill free hand. Papers are by Paper Studio. I added stickles here and there. The rosette was a fun element to make. I used Tim Holtz distressed inks to shadow around the tree and hill and then a Copic's marker to outline the cloud. The third picture shows some little earring holders I made for apple earrings I'll be giving to my son's teachers. Thanks for stopping by!
