Valentines

Here are two cards I made for Valentines Day. The first one I made for my husband, based on this awesome tutorial by Beates. I basically copied her whole design, just used different papers. Thank you Beates! It was really fun to make. The hardest part was keeping the panels square! The second card I made for my daughter. I hand cut the hearts, used a hearts stamp with white ink on the transparency for the window. I used Spellbinder fleur de lis frame. Turned out really pretty. Hope you have a great day!

C.R.A.F.T and Cute Card Thursday Challenges

Here's a Mother's Day card for my Mom. The theme at C.R.A.F.T. is Mother's Day and/or flowers. They are giving a Stamping Bella Stamp and some handmade flowers to the winner! The challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Lucky Green in honor of St. Patrick's Day, using green as your main color. They are giving away four digi stamps from InStyle Stamps!

I used a Spellbinders rectangle to make the window for my card. The flower stamp is Penny Black "Clique" which I've attached pearls to the middle of. The sentiment is also by Penny Black. I punched the flowers around the front window and added gems. The sentiment is on the inside of the card.

Jazzy Paper Designs Challenge #4

Hi there! This weeks challege at Jazzy Paper Designs is inspired by the album cover: The Sidewinder by Lee Morgan, pictured above. Lee Morgan was a leading jazz trumpeter and composer. He recorded up until a day before his death in 1972 at the age of 33 in NYC. He was a member of the Dizzie Gillispie Band at age 18 and later recorded 25 albums, working with 250 musicians during his short life. Here's an audio clip of his song Sidewinder if you'd care to listen. It is really quite moving.

The sentiment is on the inside of the card. I like how it turned out. I'm going to give it to my best friend Teresa in PA. The sentiment makes me think of her. Thoughts of her truly do fill the garden of my life!

ABC challenge: W is for Window

This is my first time entering the ABC Challenge. I've been wanting to. It's such a fun concept, don't you think? Here is my window card. I made it for my husband this past Christmas. I used a 3D image for the front of the card. I used a Penny Black stamp called Hope is Born and cut it into three sections. I used an Inkadinkado stamp (O Holy Night) for the inside. I used Stickles and gems to embellish and a MS border punch for the curtain and side of the card.

One Stop Craft Challenge #37: Guest Designer: Furry Things

Happy Saturday to you! This is my second week to design for One Stop Craft Challenge. I am so pleased that I had a chance to do so. These ladies are very talented and their challenges are great fun, with wonderful prizes! Here is my card for the theme Furry Things. I decided to make it a Christmas card.
