Our Daily Bread 2nd Anniversary Celebration Challenge: Day 4: Favorites

Today's challenge at ODB is to use your favorite stamp. Well, I love all of their stamps, but only own a couple. So, I have chosen two stamps from their "Quiet Waters" set. I was inspired by Connie McCotter's beautiful card and attempted to copy it. Somehow, my card emerged into my first wall hanging. I think it turned out okay. I'm going to give it to my best friend's husband who is turning 50 this weekend. I love the song that uses this scripture verse. You can hear it if you scroll down to my play list and select #197. I hand copied the words onto the back of this hanging. In one photo, you can see that I've used some Stickles to add sparkle to the water (sorry the photo is blurry). I've used Copics to color this. Baby Boy Card

Hello! It's been a while. My family and I have had the flu! Awful stuff.

This card is for my neice, Kathleen. She is having her first baby in a few weeks. She's having a little boy and his name is Titus.

I've made this card to fit 3 different challenges. Stamping Sisters in Christ #8; which is to make a baby card, Crafty Creations #37; which is to use the color Blue, and the sketch is from the challenge at Sketch Saturday, which is my first time to enter with them. It's a great sketch, by the way!

My image is a clear stamp from Hampton Art's Doodlebug Baby. My DP is all from the Paper Studio: Baby Blue Paisley, Blue Tiny Toes Baby Feet and Blue Safety Pins. I used some Nestabilities dies for some of the squares, the baby feet ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, the buttons are from my stash, the sentiment is from the Bible ;), and I used Stickles for the border of the baby face.

Jazzy Inspirations #20 and Stampin Sisters in Christ #6

This week on Jazzy Inspirations we are using a really cool inspiration piece. It's an Art Tatum CD cover. The colors are Black, White, and Purple. You should see the creations of the DT! They are awesome! Above, you can see the picture of the CD cover.

The challenge this week on Stampin Sisters in Christ is to make a card that comforts or encourages someone. My card hopefully fits the bill for this.

I've made this card using Nestabilities die cuts, Cuttle bug to emboss the 2nd panels, and pearls for the centers of the flowers. The stamps have all been heat embossed. The verse is a Printworks Clear Art Stamp from their Scripture collection and the other stmaps are from Inkadinkado's Gem Stone Flowers.

Stamping Sisters in Christ Challenge #4

I am really excited about this new blog! I love the concept of a challenge blog that lifts up the Lord! I've been wanting to submit a card to their challenges since they started, but this is the first time I've had the chance. The challenge this week is inspired by a scripture and then they have an awesome sketch.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."


This scripture is perfect for the card I chose to make. It's for my daughter-in-law's baby shower this weekend for my very first grandbaby!

I had fun making this. She is decorating his room in vintage cowboy style, so I made a card to go along with it.

Jazzy Inspirations #17

Here is my card for our #17 challenge. This week we are excited about being sponsored by The Digi Shack. They have the cutest stamps! They offer a free stamp every Monday! Check them out. We had such a great turn out last week at Jazzy Inspirations! We hope to see another one this time!

I used a Spellbinders Impressabilities to make the lampshade and lamp base. I used a Spellbinders die for the red frame and white circle. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the red frame. The background text was done on my computer. I cut the lamp out and popped it up with foam backing.

I've made a Get Well card for a special freind of mine who had emergency surgery.

I used the cuttlebug for one panel. I printed some encouraging scriptures on the tan paper and blotted the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink Tea. The flower is a combo of Bazzill and a kit from Taylored Expressions. I got this pretty ribbon from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is a gold peel off. What do you think? Thanks for looking.

My stamp is by Abracadabra which is stamped on Neenah paper with Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics. The Scripture is printed from my computer. The Cardstock is Bazzill Cameo (really yummy and rich). I used a ribbon by American Crafts Elements. The edge is cut with Fiskars Scallop scissors.

The papers I've used are K&Company Gold Floral, Memories Morning Blue and Stampin Up's Ballet Blue. I cut and embossed two Nestibilities butterflies and glitzed them with Stickles Stardust. My sentiment is from Printables clear stamps and the letters on the right are Debbie Mumm's Country Alphabet. I made a matching envelope.
