Our Daily Bread, Cardvaark, and Jazzy Inspirations challenges

Hi! My card was made for 3 challenges. The color scheme is based on a jazz album you can see on Jazzy Inspirations: http://jazzyinspirations.blogspot.com/2009/02/jazzy-inspirations-challenge-6.html

And Cardvaark's challenge is to use Kraft paper: http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/2009/02/kraft-macaroni-cheese.html

Pretty cool, huh?

My DP is Jillibean Soup's Portobello, the solid color cardstock is by Paper Studio, the rhinestones are by K&Company, the stamp is Penny Black colored with Copic Sketchers, border punch is by Stampin Up, butterfly punch by Paper Studio, Stickles on the butterflies and one of the circles, and I used some Diamond glaze on the flower heads for some depth.
I hand wrote the sentiment. (Do you think it looks ok?)

It's nice to have this ready for Mother's Day ahead of time!

Thanks for visiting!

Our Creative Corner Challenge: Tag

Hi. This is a card I made for my sister for her birthday last year. The whole card is a tag! The rose is Iris Folded. It's a photo of one of our roses in front of our house, in fact, it's the rose on the banner of my blog!

Charisma Cardz Challenge #7 and Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #12

Hi. Today I made a card for the Charisma Challenge (Hugs and Cuddles) and I used the sketch from the Sparkle Christmas challenge. It feels good to get some Christmas cards done ahead of time. This was a great sketch, I just flipped it to accomodate the image.
Charisma Cardz prize is some lovely watercolor paints. They are also looking for some GDT's!
Stamps: Penny Black, colored with Copic Sketchers and watercolor pencils, and a clear stamp from a Holiday set
Paper: Paper Pizazz Snowflakes
Thanks for taking a gander!

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #20 and Penny Black Challenge #37

I've made a card for the above mentioned challenges. It was a fun sketch from SCSC and I just got the Penny Black stamp last week, so it was fun to combine the two.
SCSC: http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2009/02/challenge-20.html
Penny Black: http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2009/02/week-37-get-well-soon.html
The frame behind the image is actually royal purple, but my camera wants to make it blue. I've used Basic Gray papers from their Sultry collection: Swell and Citron. My card stock is Mandarin from The Paper Company. I've used peel offs in the two corners and for the sentiment. I colored the stamp with Copic Sketchers. This was the first time I used these markers. They are very easy to work with. Thank you for stopping by. Be blessed today!

Hi! I made a card for two different challenges. One is for Wee Inklings Color Throwdown #30. Here is their link: http://weeinklings.blogspot.com/2009/02/color-throwdown-30.html
The papers I've used are K&Company Gold Floral, Memories Morning Blue and Stampin Up's Ballet Blue. I cut and embossed two Nestibilities butterflies and glitzed them with Stickles Stardust. My sentiment is from Printables clear stamps and the letters on the right are Debbie Mumm's Country Alphabet. I made a matching envelope.
Thanks for stopping by. Good luck to anyone else who enters these challenges!

Penny Black Challenge #36

Here is my card for the Penny Black Challenge. And here's the link:
http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2009/02/week-36-sketch-by-nat.html
It's my first time entering there. Actually, all the cards that I have posted today and yesterday were 1st time entries on different challenges. I am having a blast!

Hey, if anyone out there would be so kind as to explain to me how you get a link on a post without having to do the copy and paste thing, please let me know. You know, like how most of the other blogs just say: Here: and it takes you to the blog site. Urgh, I can't figure it out.

I love Penny Black stamps, though I only have 2. I plan to get more. Isn't this a cute stamp? First I heat embossed the image, then I colored it with watercolor pencils, cut it and matted it using Nestabilities dies. It's secured with pop-dots. The patterned paper I've used is from Basic Grey's Sultry line. Aren't they yummy papers? The card base is Bazzil card stock.
Thanks for checking it out. Come back again.

Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge and Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #11

This card is for two challenges: Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge by Laurie Schmidlin and Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #11 (Red and White).

I have used three mini Cuttlebug folders in the center, Merry Christmas stamp by Stampabilities, Noel stamp by PSX and bridal ribbon from Hobby Lobby.

Both of these challeges were fun and their corresponding blogs are awesome!! Check them out:

Crafty Creations #2 and Dutch Dare #35 Challenges

This card is for two different challenges: Crafty Creations sketch and Dutch Dare Buttons and Bows. I have used Jillibean Soup papers again. I just love the Cream of Mushroom line! The cupcake sentiment is by Hero Arts and the bottom one I wrote in myself with a white Uni-ball Signo pen. Then I just used embroidery floss through the buttons. The CC sketch was a great one to work with. I am pleased with how my card turned out. What do you think?

I am having so much fun entering challenges today! This one was a great idea on Cuttlebug challenges. It's a shapes challenge. Here is the link to it: http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/02/shape-cards-with-cuttlebug-be-inspired.html

My card is for Easter. (kind of obvious) I used the Forest Branches folder. I printed the sentiment onto gold vellum, directly from my printer. I haven't added a sentiment to the inside yet. Not sure who I'll give this one to. Hope you like it. Thanks for taking a look.

Valentine Tags

Here's some little Valentine tags that I made to paste onto some big Chocolate hearts for my son's 1st grade classroom. They were easy to make. I used a Nestabilities tag for the colored paper (by Paper Studio)and the white tags were premade by Paper Reflections (at Hobby Lobby), stamped the heart (by Penny Black) with red pigment ink (by JoAnn CraftEssentials) and them slipped different colors of ribbon through the top punched holes. Thanks for looking!
