Get Well wishes

Hi. This is a little card I sent to my dear Uncle Kent who was recently in the hospital. The stamp is from Designed 2 delight digistamps They have the CUTEST images. I colored the stamp with Copics. I am entering the card in a Gina K challenge.

Long time no see!

Hello there. I'm not sure if anyone will see this, because I have not been active in blog land in such a looong time! I have had a busy year! We moved (same city), my husband had back surgery, I did some traveling (in the US) etc. I HAVE made some things, but I just haven't posted stuff. So, anyway. . . Here's some pictures of things I've done during the past year.
I used NBA Team Dimensional Stickers on this first card. I made it for my neice Sally, who loves the Lakers! It's the first "pop-up" type of card I've ever made. The basketball is a "slider" which goes in and out of the hoop.

Next is a get well card I made for my neice, Sunny. I made a rosette (here's a tutorial) with a Martha Stewart edged punch, a big Favorite Findings button, some vellum, scalloped Spellbinder shapes, and some old lace that belonged to my husband's grandmother. I also used Tim Holtz distressed ink Dried Marigold for inking edges.

Here is another get well card I made for a little girl, Elizabeth, who had to have brain surgery. I stitched the wavey edge of the card with embroideray floss and I used several fun embellishments.

Next is a tri-fold, or shutter card I made for my good friend Gloria for Thanksgiving. Here is a tutorial for it on You-tube.
Using a Spellbinder die, I made a little "plaque" for her based on I Timothy 4:7. It is removeable; not secured into place. A fun card to make.

And here's the first Hanukkah card I've ever made. It was for my cousin, Denise, in San Jose. The iris folding pattern is from Circle of Crafters website, and the menorah is a pattern I got from Silvia at Crafts U Print. I used a craft knife to cut the patterns out. I used origami foil paper for the folds. I used a paper punch for the flames to the Menorrah on the inside of the card.

Stamp Something Challenge: Something Cute

This week's challenge at Stamp Something is to make something cute. Their sponsor is Wags and Whiskers (very CUTE stamps). I have made a card that I think is cute. It's for my step-mother who had knee replacement surgery this week. I've used Basic Grey DP (Lemonade), sentiment by Printworks (Scripture), buttons by Spare Parts, leaf punch by EK success,some stickles for accent, and ribbon from Hobby Lobby. The design of the card is by Angella Crockett from Our Daily Bread. I even used the same designer paper!

I've made a Get Well card for a special freind of mine who had emergency surgery.

I used the cuttlebug for one panel. I printed some encouraging scriptures on the tan paper and blotted the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink Tea. The flower is a combo of Bazzill and a kit from Taylored Expressions. I got this pretty ribbon from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is a gold peel off. What do you think? Thanks for looking.

Card Positioning Systems #116

Great sketch this week on CPS! Here is a card I made for my Dad who had shoulder surgery today. The image is by DJ Inkers, colored with Copics. I hand wrote the sentiment. I used Cuttlebug folders for two of the papers. The hanging pine are punched from Martha Stewart's fern punch. The card base is craft paper. I love mooses! do you like?

Get well card, Bo Bunny Challenge

I used Basic Grey papers (Sultry line) and the flowers are from Taylored Expressions: Spring Flowers. They are so pretty and fun to work with. (and reasonably priced!) I used a Nestie for the sentiment tag and printed the sentiment on my computer. The little flower stamp on the right side of the sentiment is stamped in Distressed Ink Mahagony. Then I made an envelope to match.
