I guess I've got babies on the brain lately!
I'm going to host a Welcome Baby shower in a couple of weeks for a friend of mine. She had a baby girl on Oct. 8th named Amelia. I made 22 invitations. Just thought I'd share pics of them.

Baby Boy Card
Hello! It's been a while. My family and I have had the flu! Awful stuff.
This card is for my neice, Kathleen. She is having her first baby in a few weeks. She's having a little boy and his name is Titus.
I've made this card to fit 3 different challenges. Stamping Sisters in Christ #8; which is to make a baby card, Crafty Creations #37; which is to use the color Blue, and the sketch is from the challenge at Sketch Saturday, which is my first time to enter with them. It's a great sketch, by the way!
My image is a clear stamp from Hampton Art's Doodlebug Baby. My DP is all from the Paper Studio: Baby Blue Paisley, Blue Tiny Toes Baby Feet and Blue Safety Pins. I used some Nestabilities dies for some of the squares, the baby feet ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, the buttons are from my stash, the sentiment is from the Bible ;), and I used Stickles for the border of the baby face.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

Jazzy Inspirations #20 and Stampin Sisters in Christ #6
This week on Jazzy Inspirations we are using a really cool inspiration piece. It's an Art Tatum CD cover. The colors are Black, White, and Purple. You should see the creations of the DT! They are awesome! Above, you can see the picture of the CD cover.
The PRIZE for the winner this week is a stamp set from Autumn Leaves! Submit your entry by Oct 10th.
The challenge this week on Stampin Sisters in Christ is to make a card that comforts or encourages someone. My card hopefully fits the bill for this.
I've made this card using Nestabilities die cuts, Cuttle bug to emboss the 2nd panels, and pearls for the centers of the flowers. The stamps have all been heat embossed. The verse is a Printworks Clear Art Stamp from their Scripture collection and the other stmaps are from Inkadinkado's Gem Stone Flowers.
Thank you for visiting and have a blessed day!

Stamping Sisters in Christ Challenge #4
I am really excited about this new blog! I love the concept of a challenge blog that lifts up the Lord! I've been wanting to submit a card to their challenges since they started, but this is the first time I've had the chance. The challenge this week is inspired by a scripture and then they have an awesome sketch.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
This scripture is perfect for the card I chose to make. It's for my daughter-in-law's baby shower this weekend for my very first grandbaby!
I had fun making this. She is decorating his room in vintage cowboy style, so I made a card to go along with it.
thanks for visiting!

Jazzy Inspirations #18 with Candy!
This week's inspiration piece is a photoprint of a Sonny Rollins CD Cover. The photoprint uses the colors Black, Gray, and White with a "pop" of Green. Here's a link to a YouTube video of one of Sonny Rollins' songs. My one and only love.
BE SURE TO ENTER THE CHALLENGE FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN COPIC MARKERS THAT TENIA WILL BE GIVING AWAY!!
I used the awesome sketch from the last Basic Grey challenge. The butterfly and green flowers are from SU's Reason to Smile. I heat embossed the butterfly and sentiment. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on two panels. The DP is Bo Bunny Midnight Paisley.
I'm going to give this to my daughter for her 22nd birthday. Her birthstone is Peridot, so this matches quite nicely!
I'm including a picture of her as well. Isn't she lovely?

Whimsie Doodles First Challenge!
Isn't this stamp the cutest?! And guess what~it's FREE!
I made this card for their first sketch challenge using their free turtle digi stamp. This was a really fun sketch to work with. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss a couple panels, I colored the cute little guy with Copics, used Stickles for some sparkle, and I distressed the edges with my fingernail! Whimsie included a sentiment stamp, but my printer decided to die on me, so I hand wrote it.
I'll give this to my Uncle in Fresno who is recovering from major surgery.

Words of Inspiration
Good Morning. Just thought I'd share an amazing commentary/devotion from the Chaplain of the Motorcycle Club that my husband and I belong to. Here is a picture of us in our leathers. It is a christian M.C. and we love it. Our Chaplain, Bud is a devoted man of God and brings us a biblical word every day. I would like to share them with you from time to time. Today's was especially good.
Daniel 3: 17- 18
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.
The power that our God has is miraculously awesome. There is nothing that He is unable to deliver us from. It doesn’t matter how intense the fire in our lives becomes or how threatening those who are around us may seem, God is able to deliver. These guys stood strong in their faith that God would deliver them, if not from the fire then from this world. They didn’t question their faith and whether God delivered them from the fire or not was not the deciding factor of their worship and faith towards Him.. They were going to remain obedient to God even at the risk of their own lives. God is still God even when we don’t get the victory. He has the right to do nothing and His choice is fair. God is sovereign so however He chooses to do something is just and good. Can we bring ourselves to this same trust and discipline in our lives so that when it doesn’t go our way we can still trust God and be committed to following Him despite what we might go through. Do we only trust Him when it feels good? We are spoiled; we haven’t had to face any real life threatening situations for our faith in America although the day may be quickly coming upon us. These three guys recognized that whether their lives were spared or not wasn’t the point, God is their reward. And the same holds true for us, it doesn’t matter whether we live or die, God is our portion, He is our reward. God promises us a life that will be abundantly better and when we get to heaven I guarantee it will be, but to be honest, even now I would much rather go through the difficult times with God than without Him. We are servants of God and our faithfulness to Him makes it our duty to trust in Him no matter what the cost. It isn’t about whether He can save us from the fire or whether we live or die, it is about our faith and obedience to Him and our complete trust in Him over all circumstances.

ABC challenge: W is for Window
This is my first time entering the ABC Challenge. I've been wanting to. It's such a fun concept, don't you think? Here is my window card. I made it for my husband this past Christmas. I used a 3D image for the front of the card. I used a Penny Black stamp called Hope is Born and cut it into three sections. I used an Inkadinkado stamp (O Holy Night) for the inside. I used Stickles and gems to embellish and a MS border punch for the curtain and side of the card.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day.

Three Challenges: Charisma Cardz #23 and CPS 120 and Simon Says
Here's a birthday card I'm going to give to a little 7year old girl today. The challenge for Charisma Cardz is "Diamonds are a girls best friend" which is very fun for me, because I love sparkles. The card has lots of Frosted Lace Stickles accents and the cuttlebugged piece is actually on shiny silver paper, which may be hard to tell on the pic. I also used a sparkly black Sakura Jelly roll pen to go over the cupcake stamp and sentiment. The sketch is based on thechallenge for CPS, found here: http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2009/06/cps-120-sponsored-by-2redbananas.html
The challenge on Simon Says is Birthdays, so this works well! http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/06/happy-birthday-simon-says-stamp.html
The stamps are from Hero Arts birthday frame pack. I used Martha Stewart border punch for the pink strips. I cut the cupcake stamp out to make it 3D.
Thanks for looking, have a blessed day!
