Basic Grey is Back!

Here is my challenge card for their grand re-opening. They had a great sketch to use! I have used a small piece of Lemonade Doilies from their Lemonade line. The butterfly and green flowers are from SU's Reason to Smile. I heat embossed the butterfly and sentiment. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on two panels. I used the colors based on Jazzy Inspirations challenge this week.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #11

This is my first entry on this fun blog. They have a great DT and lots of fun challenges. This weeks challenge is Father's Day. I made this card for my husband. It says Happy Father's day on the inside. He is a guitar player and songwriter. He's awesome! (See him in the picture) I got the sketch from a freebie site. It's made by Tracy Drane. Can you tell that this is a guitar? (kinda abstract) In the middle of the guitar, I pasted words to a song that my husband wrote for me. We actually had the song produced last year by a wonderful singer/songwriter named Randy Stonehill. We didn't have the funds to finish the CD project, but this one sounds really great! I've basically paper pieced the rest of the card, and used gold embellies around the center circle.
